Public realm project at Vinicombe Street

There is a Byres Road Corners (Civic Space) project at Vinicombe Street, which seeks to create a new civic space within the Byres Road area. 

This project is currently being progressed by the Byres Road Improvement Group (BRIG) in partnership with Glasgow City Council. Public consultation was undertaken in January 2015 to gain ideas for Vinicombe Street and concept designs were produced.  The works at Vinicombe Street are now on site and scheduled for completion by May 2016.

There are series of public meetings taking place to develop a new group, "Friends of Vinicombe Street". This group is seeking volunteers to put forward plans for the use of this new civic space.
