Carnival Bands at Kelvingrove Bandstand

Last Saturday, 6th June, I went along to hear the Samba Bands perform at the bandstand in Kelvingrove Park. They were prepared for an event at the Queen Margaret Union and for the West End Festival Parade on Byres Road, the next day.

The bands joined in the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the West End Festival. They provided the biggest street band spectacular in Scotland as a band of up to 250 musicians from carnival bands performed as part of the Parade.
